As Deputy Director, HR within Cabinet Office I have accountability for:- - The HR Business Partnering Team - HR Operations (Recruitment, Shared Service management, internal payroll related activity, management of HR related contracts etc) - HR transformation - Part of the Senior Leadership Team
Responsible for overseeing the HR Operational side within Cabinet Office, with accountability for:- - Recruitment - Internal payroll related activity - Managing the client relationship with Shared Services - Overseeing HR related contracts - HR transformation - Leading a team of 15 employees
I undertook this role during some extremely challenging times for the organisation, including the 2015 General Election and Spending Review. Both examples had headcount related implications, and it was my role to lead on identifying the best mitigation which I achieved through extensive planning and stakeholder engagement to reach a clear workforce strategy. As a continuation within this role, I strengthened workforce and capability plans across the organisation, working closely with HR Business Partners and business unit leads, transforming the workforce plans to be in a strong position. More widely, within the role I made a considerable contribution with building capability and talent, introducing a number of capability building initiatives and leading on talent programme implementation.
