Herborn, Hesse, Germany
In late 2021, I relocated to Germany to become Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) of Ketten Feickert GmbH, leading the business alongside Klaus Ubber, who stepped down from the Managing Director role in early 2026. Ketten Feickert GmbH operates within the Ketten Feickert Group, a fast-growing and successful organisation with subsidiaries across the UK, Ireland, China, and Latin America. This role, and this company, marks a natural extension of my work in China. The special chain factory I founded in Ningbo, now operating as Ketten Feickert Ningbo, forms the technical and manufacturing backbone of the business, while our German headquarters serves as the commercial and customer-facing European hub. In Germany, I’ve shifted focus from backend operations to customer relationships, business development, and strategic growth. I’m proud to be building a dynamic, resilient team as we expand into new markets, streamline internal systems, and deliver world-class solutions to our clients in industries like wood, beverage, industrial automation, logistics and so much more. I’m always open to conversations around strategic partnerships - commercial, technical, or market-driven.
I arrived in Ningbo in 2011 to establish a global sourcing hub for the Challenge Group, building what would become a full-scale chain manufacturing and logistics operation. Over the next decade, I founded and scaled a special conveyor chain factory, developed deep technical expertise, and led a team of 160 employees at its peak. Following the acquisition of the Challenge Group by Megadyne S.p.A. in 2018, the Ningbo Conveyor Chain factory and chain oriented Challenge-Feickert Germany operations were spun off and became part of a newly independent business: Ketten Feickert Group, with Ningbo as the production and sourcing headquarters. My focus in Ningbo was on supply chain management, factory operations, product development, and system design - laying the industrial and operational foundation for what would later become the Ketten Feickert Group.
