I managed two teams that carried out the the day to day operation of network server and desktop infrastructure across all UK sites and acted as the technical escalation point for all Infrastructure and Desktop matters. I was responsible for availability, integrity and security of existing infrastructure as well as specification, technical design and implementation (and project management) of new tactical and strategic infrastructure in line with best practice principles in order to support business objectives. I maintained relationships with third party providers to ensure that the service levels were maintained and that the services provided met with business requirements. I also identified gaps where a better service fit may be sought as part of this role. I performed audits and reviewed processes regularly as part of an improvement plan and supported our progress toward the ISO 270001 accreditation. I was responsible for the performance management and development of my teams. I carried out objective setting and reviewed throughout the year. I conducted performance appraisal at the end of the yearly cycle.
