Within the Strategy and Analytics Division: - Contributed to capacity expansion and wholesale market modelling tools to assist long-term planning in the National Electricity Market (NEM). - Led / contributed to techno-economic feasibility studies across DER, microgrid and industrial flexibility contexts for government and private clients. - Authored a submission to the CER Taskforce (DCCEEW) on "Redefining roles and responsibilities for power system and market operations in a high CER future", which was referenced in final advice to the minister. Reported to Dr José Zapata, Principal of Modelling and Analytics

Supported the establishment of the ANU Bushfire Research Centre of Excellence, a partnership between ANU and Optus, in the wake of the '19-'20 Black Summer Fires - Compiled review of existing bushfire detection and suppression technologies, covering remote sensing, satellite instrumentation, computer vision, machine learning, robotics. - Identified capability gaps in consultation with rural fire management agencies and fire scientists at CSIRO. - Assessed value propositions of proposed ANU research programs with respect to technology gaps. Work conducted with Assoc. Prof. Matt Stocks, reporting to Dr Roslyn Prinsley (Head, Strategic Research Initiatives, ANU).
Within the Network Performance and Analysis Group: - Produced a lightweight agent-based model of Australia's domestic commercial air traffic network in Python. This served to study delay propagation characteristics of the network through Monte Carlo simulations. Internships through semester 2 2016, over 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 summers. Supervised by Dr Steve Barry.
