Entrepreneurial business leader with 20 years’ experience building and scaling technology-driven ventures across sustainable materials, specialty chemicals, and consumer products. I co-founded VOID Technologies, a materials science company spun out of Kimberly-Clark, developing sustainable packaging utilising extensively patented technology. Over ten years as CEO, I raised significant investment from UK and international VC and corporate investors, built U.S.-based R&D and manufacturing capability, and scaled the business from early-stage IP through to commercial deployment with tier-one partners. My focus is venture building and scaling - bridging science and markets to deliver high-impact businesses, with experience spanning business development, marketing, R&D strategy, partnerships, fundraising, team building, and governance.
UK/U.S. materials science company spun out of Kimberly-Clark, manufacturing sustainable packaging using proprietary thermoplastic cavitation technology. Backed by Kimberly-Clark, Capricorn Partners, and SABIC Ventures. Built VOID from proof-of-concept to a commercial-stage business with a U.S.-based R&D and manufacturing facility, raised significant investment from UK venture and corporate investors, and launched the company’s first commercial product through multi-partner supply chains with tier-one manufacturers and brands.
Irrigo was an innovation and venture-building consultancy helping corporates commercialise early-stage IP. I led a two-year incubation programme with Kimberly-Clark that evaluated a new materials technology, resulting in the spin-out of VOID Technologies. I worked closely with R&D and commercial teams to assess market opportunities, develop value propositions, and structure IP, investment, and company formation.
Within the Ventures team, I supported the development and commercialisation of early-stage IP, including launching Byotrol Consumer Products and managing Dr Greenfingers, a joint venture with Weleda focused on natural first-aid products for children.
