After moving from high street agency recruitment into technology, I subsequently made the switch to internal recruitment, and have enjoyed working across the talent space for some of the coolest brands in the world. My key capabilities include designing and deploying fit-for-purpose recruitment delivery models; building, scaling, leading and developing talent teams of various shapes and sizes; operational process optimization; recruitment technology; and omnichannel vendor management.
Reporting to the CHRO as part of the global HR leadership team, my role was created to drive TA transformation, elevate recruitment delivery to a strategic, consultative service, and build out the supporting pillars in the TA centre of expertise (CoE). Key achievements include: • Creating and deploying an evolving global strategy to drive transformation and maturation of a highly federated TA function, focussing on integration and service elevation at all stages of the recruiting lifecycle • Consolidation and verticalization of a decentralized global recruitment delivery team (EMEA, NAM, LATAM, China), enabling optimized capacity planning and resulting in a 44% efficiency gain and a reduction of over 40% in external agency use • Launching a dedicated internal executive strategic search model, aimed at embedding succession planning and pipelining for all critical roles across the organization, resulting in a 50% reduction of time-to-accept and significant cost avoidance • Driving a dedicated focus on critical front-line hires, resulting in a 40% reduction of time-to-accept and 25% reduction in aged requisitions for in-scope roles • Managing and deploying an end-to-end redesign of Sonova’s recruitment processes in SuccessFactors, in addition to building integrations with and migrations from legacy software in kex markets • Leading a number of continuous improvement initiatives (including 4 kaizens) to enhance TA’s capabilities • Enabling and fostering data-based decision making and performance management through the creation of a comprehensive suite of TA-related reports and dashboards • Overseeing the revision of Sonova’s employer brand messaging to ensure authenticity, and the deployment of a brand management platform (Frontify) • Preparing and presenting TA content for quarterly HR strategic business reviews with Sonova’s management board
As part of the global TA leadership team, my key responsibilities included: • Ensuring that Lonza’s global recruitment delivery model remains fit-for-purpose, having supported ongoing evolution of the model to support a scale-up from ~2300 to over 5600 hires per year • Ensuring that the strategic direction of the TA function is translated into effective and efficient operations, designing and documenting all processes and governance relevant to recruitment delivery • Acting as the primary interface for all operational issues to a global team of ~160 recruitment staff • Owning and driving continuous improvement of Lonza’s ATS, Workday, partnering closely with the Digital HR team to communicate the needs of the TA function and ensure delivery of ongoing optimisation • Partnering with HR analytics to develop and evolve detailed reports and dashboards, and preparing/delivering high-level presentations to global C-level leadership, offering transparency to the business around recruitment delivery • Leading and contributing to global Talent Attraction initiatives, such as development of the company’s Employee Value Proposition, definition of TA’s D&I objectives, creation and roll-out of a global Employee Referral Program, design and implementation of a global job advert template, and the delivery of a new careers website • Revising and rebuilding Lonza’s approach to external recruitment vendor management, including creation of all governance and guidance around vendor engagement, negotiation and ongoing management
Providing flexible on-site and remote support for Ericsson’s global talent acquisition organisation via Pontoon, my key deliverables and achievements included: • Leading and line-managing a number of regional teams, covering over 100 countries, with responsibility for over 25 people across 15 locations. • Global management of recruitment and talent acquisition projects, including (dotted-line) management of global project teams made up of recruiters, resourcers and coordinators. • Delivery-centric day-to-day operational leadership, with a focus on maintaining best practice standards while ensuring global consistency, driving stakeholder engagement and delivering a world-class candidate experience. • Regularly reporting to stakeholders across the business on the status of ongoing projects and regional recruitment campaigns, including full ownership of MBRs and QBRs for my regions, with close attention to performance metrics to ensure that recruiter performance adheres to the standards set out by global SLAs. • Developing and managing short and long-term talent acquisition strategies, working closely with resource management and key stakeholders up to SVP level around the world. • Delivering training to recruiters of varied experience on topics including consultative stakeholder management, consultative candidate management, process best practice and employer branding. • Supporting roll-out of new TA initiatives relating to issues such as diversity, data-protection and data-integrity, helping to drive change on a global scale.
My role encompassed full ownership and cradle-to-grave oversight of all recruitment activity across NVIDIA's European sites, with responsibility for 13 offices in 9 countries. My key activities included managing and mentoring a world-class team of recruiters and coordinators, designing and implementing flexible processes designed to adapt to the business' changing needs, and ensuring a memorable, positive experience for all stakeholder and candidates.
ARM is the world's top supplier of IP to the semiconductor industry, providing the core architecture for many of today’s technology products. My first internal recruiting role was primarily focused on hiring into ARM's expanding media processor division.
