Forecasted, purchased, and allocated thousands of items in up to 150 locations. I have procured several categories including shoes, apparel, accessories, toys, school and office, and bed and bath product. Managed the replenishment of each item in each store based on sales, physical footprint or planogram schematic, demographics, seasonality, promotional strategy, opportunity or liability and trend. Sourced product domestically or internationally according to cost savings, lead times, product lifespan, individual and collective store demand, vendor availability and open to buy budgeting. Wore the hats of demand planner and supply chain analyst as well as I managed the flow of inventory from initial sourcing, to demand planning and overall supply chain management of the merchandise. With so much experience in this role and knowing so many departments I trained numerous replenishment buyers and gained substantial knowledge of replenishment methods, JDA, Microsoft Office products and analytical practices. I created an Access door count macro. With just two clicks this tool would summarize how many stores an item is currently in, list what the stores are, and summarized the counts by region. Using this macro became a best practice for buyers while submitting items to advertise, it prevented the blunder of advertising an item only in limited doors. This position kept the shelves full, the customers satisfied and the company in business. From spreadsheet to shopping cart 馃洅.

Allocated merchandise according to sales, gross margin, seasonality, demographics, physical capacity and turn goals. Managed the overall inventory and option count of each location. Maintained purchase order tracking and communication of early or late orders while balancing the recipient flow into each location. Achieved a comp sales year-over-year increase of 5%, which was the second highest increase across all departments Q3 and Q4 2019. Turned around lackluster cold weather sales due to an exceptionally mild winter by taking advantage of excess slipper inventory. My precise and aggressive allocations led to a 91% increase in slipper sales, and flat year-over-year inventory left in stores at year end. Right sized each locations inventory by classification by following sales trends, product availability and spare capacity. Allocating extra styles of lifestyle and trail product vs. cold weather increased sales in both categories by 22%
