As the first full-time member of the Information Technology department at Advanced Infusion Services, I have had the opportunity to plan and put in place an IT strategy stabilizing the current use of technology and maximizing legacy decisions. The organization had been relying on IT consultants as a reactionary solution to growth and issues. Over the past year, I have been able to standardize the technology usage, implement security procedures, and increase protection from security threats. I have also been able to provide and proactive approach to system availability reducing service interruptions. Issues reporting and troubleshooting procedures were introduced decreasing downtime for user issues. These services are implemented at all our locations with support provided remotely. I have organized fragmented cloud services ensuring that all aspects of our cloud environment are being used to their full potential. I have also been able to migrate several internal functions to cloud-based services reducing our infrastructure costs. The cloud-based services now include email, collaboration tools, files sharing, external user security and authentication, and phone services. These services have allowed us to connect all our locations. Our next cloud-based initiative will be the migration our core database system. All services are designed to meet HIPAA and HITECH standards. We are currently revising all our business lines core applications to ensure the that what is purchased or developed will meet our requirements. Development of a patient app is underway ensuring engagement with our customers. We are working to develop a portal for our doctors and providers. My efforts also include providing the IT policies and procedure for URAC certifications and implementing controls on external portal access. Head of Operations and Information Technology where I reorganized both operationally and systemically a 60 year old family business that entered and emerged from a bankruptcy a completely different type of entity. Pedro Barba e Hijos is a well established organization that was a leader in the distribution of bacalou, pork and chicken. Since late 2009 the company had seen a shift in the industry and needed to find a way to continue to complete. However, with the general economic turndown the company was not able to generate the sales need with its core business and needed to acclerate the change process. As I had become a strong team member I was asked to spearhead the reorganization plans. The transition took the company from being a distribution company to one that provided cold storage and logistic services the other distributors. We provide freezer, refrigerated and dry storage to over 30 customers with a wide range of products and requirements. The diversification of clients has allowed us to learn and add more services. Participated as part of the Executive team in strategic planning and goal setting, ensuring that the IT systems would support initiatives and the adoption of new requirements and technologies. Created an information management architecture that integrated infrastructure, software development, database relations, security, and telecommunications. Developed an integrated Web-based software solution serving Customer Service, Membership Accounting, Clinical Services, Dispute Resolution, Claims Payment, and Sales. Provided leadership and technical guidance during planning and integration of PMC Healthcare to include the integration of all operational areas, as well as the IT team and infrastructure.
