Researched, architected and implemented a new tweet analytics data export system, with the aim of replacing a legacy system which still sees 1000s of requests per day from professional users. • Designed a horizontally-scalable event-driven architecture, using Kafka Topics as event streams. • Coded in Scala and a domain-specific language derived from Scala, to create serverless functions (similar to AWS Lambda) which integrated with internal Apache Thrift and HTTP services. • Also diagnosed and helped to resolve a user-reported bug with a revenue impact of $21,500 per month. • Integrated into an agile team, participating in and facilitating standups and sprint planning sessions. • Presented the project to a general audience within the London office.
