- Direct day-to-day operations of itinerant and supplemental secondary emotional support program - Respond to student crises, parent concerns, and administrative issues - Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans - Administer English, science, social studies, and math curricula to identified students in conjunction with their IEPs - Provide additional support in the areas of social skills, conflict resolution, coping strategies and problem solving - Supervise students’ transition from outside placements - Monitor student progress in the program (discipline, attendance, academic achievement, IEP emotional goals) - Facilitate RTI-based services to regular education students with specific needs - Serve as a liaison between outside agencies, administrators and parents - Support and collaborate with regular education teachers of students in the program - Develop and implement daily crisis-management plans for at-risk students - Determine and implement transition plans for students leaving the program
- Directing the setup, management, and post-event procedures for all athletic contests - Confirming all contests and game officials prior to the event - Handling game receipts and ensuring officials’ payments Recruiting, supervising, developing, and evaluating middle school coaches - Ensuring coaches carry out the school’s philosophy and mission of athletics - Scheduling events, games, practices, facilities, and transportation - Overseeing inventory control for equipment and uniforms and recommending new purchases when needed
Serve as faculty chair on student wellness committee
- Implement training plans for all levels of athletes on a team of over 100 - Oversee and evaluate four assistant coaches - Promote healthy lifestyles and team atmosphere - Chosen as 2016 PA Coach of the Year
- Develop lesson plans and deliver small group instruction within an emotional support classroom. - Maintain compliant special educational paperwork including input forms, IEPs, PBSPs, NOREPs, etc. - Collect and report progress monitoring data. - Collaborate with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators to address instructional and/or classroom issues. - Respond to a wide range of inquiries from parents or guardians regarding instruction, learning, and student progress.
