Area Manager in Specialty Engineering elements as part of TEAMS Next contract supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer. Technical focus areas include supporting MDA with laboratory and parts, materials, and processes (PMP) expertise for electronic and mechanical parts. Some activities are focused on natural and space radiation effects, hardness/survivability, mass properties, material science, electromagnetic compatibility, etc. Also an active participant in other DoD level activities as related to Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA). Additional Area Manager duties include providing functional management and leadership support to skill teams related to my area of focus.
• Parts Management: Parts, Materials and Processes (PMAP), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Management and PMAP obsolescence, Counterfeit Avoidance and Mitigations, etc. Integrates data with Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). Creates PMAP control plans leveraging internal requirements and MIL-STD-11991 and manages PARs. • Lead Specialty Engineering projects for program stakeholders and other IPT product engineering functions including Communications (COMMS), Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, etc. Chaired the PMAP Control Board for the IBCS FMS program for product assurance. • Reviewed all Specialty Engineering elements for entire IBCS FMS product. Supported Change Request (CR) and Configuration Management (CM) practices for technical data package (TDP) generation. Participated in drawing and design reviews and participated in release board. • Served as PMAP consultant for mechanical and electrical systems and manufactured products. • Exportadvisor for business unit for EAR and ITAR export jurisdiction determinations IAW current US law and regulations. Classified various software and hardware products utilized across the defense systems sector, an enabling function for future Direct Commercial Sales (DCS). • GIDEP Representative (admin) for NG Huntsville • Reviewed all TDPs for “build to print” utilization risks and opportunities. • Lead program procedure (PP) process development efforts for IPT and promoting continuous improvement. Ensures compliance to data item description (DID) specs and corporate regs • Authored contractual deliverable documents (CDRLs) for delivery to government customer. • Provided supplier management technical support with resolution of productions issues as a result of nonconformances, production errors, drawing error, etc. • Provided general program support for failure analysis and root cause corrective action (RCCA), software, and hardware product development.
- Materials and Manufacturing Engineering support for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) TEAMS contract. Support Israeli missile production and deployment efforts for Arrow, David’s Sling, Iron Dome, etc. Responsible for first article inspections (FAI) and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). - Supporting SEG modeling and simulation teams for MDA / BMDS customers with materials science and engineering applications including but not limited to material properties, mechanical properties, RF signatures, debris modeling, fracture assessments, reverse engineering assessments, lab consultation, supply chain analysis, etc. as needed to support product development. - Side role of supporting SEG leadership with initial establishments of company presence in Huntsville by working with fostering relationships with onsite suppliers and contract partner companies to help grow the company locally. Interfacing with onsite government customers at consortiums and other industry conferences. - Performing system level analysis of various subjects as they apply specifically to missiles including but not limited to: structural design, material science, sensors, hardware for radar, infrared, electro-optical, laser systems, etc.

Provide assignment and set clear expectations for direct report lab engineers and technicians; communicate project schedules and milestones with customers utilizing corporate tools including MS Project, management information systems, and OneNote. - Program Management: customer service and support, communication focal, business development, and representative of lab organization to enterprise roles.
Program Manager for a Boeing Career and Skills Development Program (Workforce Development): - Report directly to the Chief Engineer of the Engineering, Operations and Technology business unit. - Lead the Career Development program management team. - Manage the rotation program focusing on the development of Boeing employees across the company. - Support technical and project management skill development. - Recruit and assign staff to program projects. - Provide management support to program projects to maintain productivity. - Manage budget for program labor and materials funds. - Lead meetings for the Executive Advisory Board and program stakeholders to present critical program milestones, schedules, technical information, and achievements. Special Management Projects: - Promotion and Growth of the Program: market and sell the program to the Boeing leadership. The outcome is quantified growth of the program and executive approval was granted to elevate the program to encompass the entire Engineering, Operations and Technology business unit. - Program Processes for Operations: streamline tools and processes including social media, website management, business goals and objectives, metrics, program policies, feedback surveys, finance and budget, software, and collaboration tools. The outcome is improved communication, program scores, clarity on program directives, and clear expectations set at the enterprise level for participation in the program. - Program Structure and Organization: define and propose the organizational structure for the program during expansion when adding new Boeing businesses. The outcome was approval from executive leadership on the new program organizational structure. This also included collaboration with the Commercial Airlines and Defense Systems chapters to streamline the program across the Boeing enterprise.
