Manage, develop, maintain and grow sales within existing and new customer bases. Develop and maintain key relationships within all accounts in defined areas. Manage, train and encourage sales of water treatment products in to all industries. Provide technical advice and assistance on all products on Goldcrest Chemicals range to new and existing customers. Provide technical assistance on site and in the laboratory for product selection. Advise new and existing customers on areas where cost savings can be made on water treatment whether this is process related or product selection related.
Managing a team of 4 people in the Scottish Office of Goldcrest Chemicals, this included an Operations Supervisor and 2 warehouse / delivery drivers. Organizing weekly / daily production schedules. Daily / Weekly driver delivery schedule. Integration of new computer software including Sage Line 50. Liaising with Goldcrest Chemicals Head Office with any issues which arise and planning stock deliveries. Communication with suppliers along with new and existing customers to achieve required results. Identify new customers, make contact and set up meetings to discuss services and products Goldcrest Chemicals offer. Collection of water and waste water samples from new and existing customers to carry out flocculent / coagulant laboratory analysis. Carrying out oil analysis for site and all Scottish Power sites throughout the UK and also external customer contracts. Collating all oil analysis and providing internal and external reports to senior management. Carrying out coal analysis for Longannet and Cockenzie Power Stations. Collating all coal analysis results and providing detail reports to senior management within Scottish Power and externally. This was done to make sure that the coal to be burned was within predetermined consent limits and if there were non-conformances this was then highlighted to the supply chain. Collating all CO2 data for all coal and biomass burned at both Longannet and Cockenzie power station. Entering this data in to reports which were then submitted to senior management and also to the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
