Spend a lot of time in our Flight Training Center complex in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky, where I am a Check Airman, helping our 767 fleet pilots with their annual simulator training and qualification needs. Experienced airline pilot with experience in Flight Ops management, Flight Training and Flight Standards. Former naval aviator. USNA and St. John's alum. Former chief pilot and check airman with ExpressJet Airlines (formerly Continental Express). Former English instructor at USNA, with a focus on Cormac McCarthy and border literature. Semi-fluent in Spanish.
Administrated the faculty adviser program for 180 English majors; conducted annual workshops as Humanities Division sexual harassment prevention representative; planned, coordinated and taught three English literature/composition courses each semester for 60-75 midshipmen; evaluated and planned department curricula as member of Freshman Curriculum Committee; tutored in USNA Writing Center; served on academy-wide Faculty Personnel Committee; facilitated monthly ethics seminar; Hostile Fire Experience - over 1000 hours of NATO Adriatic and overland Bosnia operations, including air strike support and wartime reconnaissance.
