I am an experienced senior leader with a particular focus on supporting businesses grow and adapt to changing market conditions, with a strong emphasis on becoming purpose driven and customer focused. I am currently an Executive Director at the United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL), the UK’s commercially operated lab for nuclear fission R&D, where I am the Chief Customer Officer. I lead a team of 200 programme delivery professionals, account directors and customer portfolio leaders in the Customer Experience directorate, responsible for winning and delivering our world-leading nuclear research and development programmes to our customers and partners across the UK and around the world. I previously led the Strategy, Communications and Corporate Affairs (SCC) directorate as Chief Strategy Officer, with responsibility across those areas. I have worked across a number of business sectors including management consultancy, tech, defence and national security, and the media, much of it internationally and often in roles that required effective stakeholder management in complex, dynamic, and politically sensitive environments. In the last recent years I have added to my executive experience with Board experience as a member of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Strategic Advisory Committee and attending the NNL Board. I have also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Effective Non-Executive Directorship. In addition to my experience helping businesses grow and develop, I have built expertise as a leader in sustainability, with a Masters Degree in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.
