I am an Energy Engineer and Offshore Surveyor that is currently freelancing in the offshore renewable sector. Previously was working as an Energy Consultant in building sustainability and renewable energies. Prior to this, was based in Dubai as a Project Manager for offshore related geophysical and ROV survey work in the Oil and Gas sector. Specialties: Project Management, Risk Assessments, Energy Engineering and Energy Efficiency.
Recently been working as a Survey Rep/Party Chief for an offshore cable company that lays, buries and repairs subsea power, umbilical and telecommunication cables around the world. Primarily in the renewable energy sector with the majority of work done with the software QINSy and DredgeView.
Advising clients on effective energy efficient measures and solutions along with environmental and financial benefits on commercial and residential buildings through use of new energy technologies. This was completed through energy simulations to determine energy performance of a facility in conjunction with financial analysis to provide the most cost effective solution to each client.
Management of offshore related oil and gas projects. Typically pre-engineering geophysical and ROV work in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Role consisted of: - Ensuring appropriate resource allocation and management along with cost analysis. - Preparation and evaluation of commercial proposals. - Assembled quality assurance procedures to ensure contractual obligations and safety requirements were met. - Negotiation, preparation and issuing of subcontractor contracts. - Ongoing project/financial analysis with identification and implementation of improvements and resolutions of any related issues.
