I started my career as a Mechanical Apprentice in 1989 at AECI. After receiving my National Trade Test Certificate at Olifantsfontein in 1992 I was appointed as a Mechanical Fitter at a Chlorine Plant. Due to the Closure of the Plant, I was transferred to a LLDPE Plant with the same position (Mechanical Fitter). During my years on the LLDPE Plant I gained experience on Various equipment like Gearboxes, Conveyors, Fill Form and Seal Bagging Machines, Various Pumps (Multistage, High Speed, Centrifugal, Gear Pumps etc), Farrel Extruders, Catalyst Feeders, Centrifugal Dryers, Reciprocating and Centrifugal Compressors. On several occasions I acted as the Maintenance Planner and Foreman. I was appointed as Maintenance Coordinator before I was appointed as the Senior Maintenance Planner at an Ammonia Plant within Sasol in Sasolburg. I Joint MAN Turbo in 2007 as a Burckhardt Compression Field Service Engineer. During my time at MAN Turbo South Africa I performed several overhauls on Burckhardt Compressors, MAN OEM Axial, Radial Compressors, Sulzer Turbines and Expanders. In 2014 Burckhardt Compression was opened in South Africa and I joined Burckhardt Compression South Africa (BCZA). At Burckhardt Compression South Africa I installed, serviced and re-build various Burckhardt Compressors in Various Countries.
