Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States
I have always been interested in all of the Sciences of the Earth, I received an appointment as a Weather Forecaster Aid in 1974 and worked through the ranks as an observer, radar specialist to an officer manager in Sioux City, IA then returned to Minneapolis as the Data Program Acquisition Manager (DAPM) for the Weather Service until I retired in 2005. Through the years in Meteorology I took extra time outside my work environment to lecture to many schools, colleges and universities across the country at each of my stations I was assigned. I received a special NASA Educator Certification to present to the public and students Lunar Rock Samples and prepared a special presentation on NASA's Space exploration, especially upon the Moon. I've given over 700 presentations and reached over 250,000 people with this special interest of mine. Upon retiring I still wanted to stay in contact with helping people having worked so closely with various law enforcement agencies when severe weather was occurring I found a new career path through Security. Now I am the chief of Security at Element Fleet in Eden Prairie, MN. I love meeting new people and continue to expand my interests each day.
