The Weights and Measures Compliance Specialist promotes fairness and equity in the marketplace by ensuring accuracy in commercial transactions across Washington State. This role enforces state and federal weights and measures laws, inspects and tests commercial devices such as fuel dispensers and scales, verifies product labeling and pricing, and monitors fuel quality. The position also investigates consumer complaints, provides education to businesses, and supports uniformity in commerce through technical expertise and regulatory enforcement.
Locates, reads and records readings of revenue generating utility meters and meters with interval data recording functionality for residential and commercial customers on assigned route, excluding meters within Substations or meters that are read by the Meter Department for billing data. Checks and reports unsafe or irregular conditions in and about service locations and reports defective meters; notes meters which cannot be read for follow-up; checks for and reports vacant premises and receives and reports customer complaints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties include the following items: General • Service and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. • Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. • Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft. • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. • Complete job assignments in a timely manner. • Works with minimal supervision.
