James Dyer is a London-based DGA First Assistant Director With over 16 years’ experience, James supports productions of all sizes—from intimate shoots to complex multi-unit global campaigns. Known for his calm, collaborative approach and positive energy, he creates environments where directors, crews, and talent can focus on creativity and delivering their best work. He began in the music industry, working on videos for artists like Rihanna, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Ariana Grande, These early, ambitious projects gave him the opportunity to collaborate with visionary directors and build a broad foundation in all aspects of filmmaking. James has since worked on diverse commercial projects, including shoots with children and puppeteers, underwater sequences, complex VFX with motion control, high-end beauty campaigns, heli-to-heli shoots with action & Tracking vehicles, and wire and stunt work. His clients include major global brands across various industries. A frequent collaborator in fashion photography, James coordinates multi-unit shoots involving film crews, photographers, and social teams capturing content with VIP talent in a single day.
