I've worked at Sky for a number of years crafting my trade in the industry. I now work within our VIP team and I work in the following areas: Cloud based WiFi, Cisco Systems, IT Networking and Satellite design and infrastructure mainly in a commercial environment. Within my team we manage Sky's Guestlist customers using roped techniques to complete satellite installs. I have completed courses with the CAI, gained a CSCS card and IPAF 3a and 3b licences
Working within a reactive team across the UK and Europe my responsibilities include: - Bespoke Satellite Systems: Design, plan, install and service for our Retail Stores and stands and VIP/Guest-List customers. - Installation of IT networks: Commercial and Residential. - Maintaining Sky's 'Cloud WiFi' throughout the country working with our teams in Sky Business. - Bespoke project management. - Event management; working alongside internal and external stakeholders. - Product launch deployment. - Working at Height using a number of different platforms. SAT Trained with a enhanced experience in MDU systems including Fibre and Coax IRS.
Assisting the VIP team with ongoing project work. - SRS Installs, Refits and Servicing - Sky Guest List Customer Installs. - Bespoke Satellite installs. - In house Sky commercial Installs - Provide up-skill training to DTH and SE engineers Now it’s been announced. Sky Glass I’ve been involved in the launch of our new Glass product. This has involved: - Installing Sky Glass into our Guest List and Influence customers homes. - Modifying our Retail Stands - Assistance with the installations at our Launch event.
Continuing with DTH practices but with additional skills. - Installing Sky Q in MDU systems. - Installing and Maintaining our Cloud network across Sky Business. - Installing and Servicing Sky TV across Sky Business. - Using Roped techniques to install Sky TV. Along with extended CAT and DAT ladder techniques. - Taking day to day escalations for H&S and Line of Sight issues. - Mentoring New and Existing engineers - Coaching best practices to engineers across the region.
