During my gap year where I traveled Australia and South East Asia, I was lucky enough to work at B.Lucky and Sons, Melbourne Central. This gave me the opportunity to experience employment in a different country and allowed me to make great connections and friends.
Bar staff, barista, chef and key holder. Some shifts undertaken alone include opening and closing. Chef shifts include preparing and making food on order alone on quieter days. Confident in all aspects of running a bar from line cleaning to customer service. Gaining experience of knowledge on craft beers .
Part-time work as a personal assistant for a teenager with physical and learning disabilities. My work has given me vital experience in working with clients with special needs and has shown me how I am able to adapt in order to meet the needs of my client. Tasks include… - Wheelchair usage. - Taking him out for the day. - Taking him shopping. - Preparing food and drink. - Taking him to physio sessions. - Help with exercise. - Being prepared for an emergency event such as a seizure and using emergency medicine and first aid knowledge effectively.
