I am an Irish Chartered Accountant having qualified in 2017. Currently Financial Controller of Euroclad Group a fully owned entity of Kingspan PLC. ACA first time pass in October 2016 (Institute of Chartered Accountants), UCD Michael Smurfit Business School Graduate (Macc) and DkIT graduate (BComm).
Euroclad Group is a manufacturer of building materials with a turnover of +€100m and total headcount of 250. Fully owned subsidiary of Kingspan Group PLC. Reporting to the Financial Director, responsibilities include: • Managing month end close including group reporting. • Preparation of monthly/annual forecasts along with variance reporting against same. • Taking ownership of overheads budgets and introducing appropriate purchasing controls. • Managing relationships with external partners such as payroll providers, auditors, grant agencies, etc. • Assessing current financial practices and implementing change processes. • Introducing monthly business performance processes and reporting key insights to the local Management team. • Improving the visibility of business performance through financial analysis and KPI reporting. • Reviewing key controls and ensuring sound policies to support robust financial reporting. • Managing working capital levels in line with business requirements. Key focus on stock, debtors cycle and payables cycle. • Ensuring compliance filings submitted and paid on time such as VAT returns, PAYE returns, Companies House filings etc. • Managing finance team with a total of 6 employees, assessing team capability, ensuring correct team structures and providing coaching and mentoring to the team.
