I have been working in the international corporate services sector now for some 16 years, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best professionals in the respective fields, who have assisted me to get to where I am today. I am a strategic planner and organiser, a team player and an approachable leader. In a modern world which is constantly changing and putting forward new obstacles we must adapt and take them on with a positive "yes we can” attitude. As a profesional achievement, I am proud to say that I co-founded my previous company. Starting in 2008, surviving the financial crisis, we eventually expanded the company and it is now recognised as one of the top companies in its sector! Personally I love keeping fit, participating in various sponsored runs and mini marathons as well as playing team games such as football. I am a very sociable person and enjoy being in the company of friends and family. Life is a gift and we should enjoy every minute of it. I believe we should laugh every day and associate ourselves with people that contribute to a healthy, happy lifestyle.
Premier Relocation has a long standing excellent name in the UK, the time was right for expansion into Spain and I am excited to be working with the energetic team and build the brand here in Spain.
As part of company expansion I moved to Barcelona in the month of January 2017 to strengthen our position in the area. During this time I sourced a warehouse facility, local providers for packing materials negotiated rates and credit terms, applied for parking licenses and generally speaking set up operation. My primary responsibilities were direct sales, planning and coordination of removals, budget management and coordinating relocation services such as house search, school search etc.
As a new start up it was my role to coordinate and organise the full door to door shipping of personal effects by means of container, air or groupage. Included in this was the coordination of the collection team, organising export / import paper work for customs clearance, coordination with customs for export / Import clearance, coordination with the shipping lines or air lines, coordination with our origin / destination partners. During my time at the company we saw continuous growth adding employees to the company to assist in the office and also form part of the warehouse staff. Never a dull moment trying to keep up with customs requirements in various countries around the world ensuring that the removal process was as smooth as possible.
At Atlantic Worldwide Movers (later Atlantic Corporate Relocations) my key role was to coordinate corporate individuals relocating throughout the world, not only organising shipments to and from the UK but also third country moves such as Mexico to the USA, or Hong Kong to Australia. I developed my role and was given account manager role personally handling some of the companies key corporate accounts! I met some great people working for this company some of whom I am lucky enough to now call my close friends.
During my time at Britannia Movers my main role was corporate move coordinator focusing on national removals for their corporate clients and accounts. Britannia boasts a vast amount of branches throughout the UK and part of the job was to form relationships with those branches and their respective members of staff, it was here I really learnt key lessons in the industry some of which are still applied today.
