Proud to be a Clinical Specialist in Neurological Physiotherapy. Elected Council Member for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Winner of the prestigious CSP Award Professional expert for NICE Since leaving the Army in 2003, I established a career as a Clinical Specialist in Neuro Physiotherapy. I gained a wide variety of skills from rotational posts in an inner-city acute hospital trust. By covering the key areas in a challenging environment, I developed a thorough understanding of a wide range of conditions and a holistic approach to my practice. Early on I developed an interest in neurological conditions and enjoy being able to implement the skills I have gained to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families. My style is very a ‘hands on’ approach and I utilise a wide range of modalities to aid therapy of complex conditions. As a competent injector of Botulinum Toxin in focal spasticity, I have taught medics and Allied Health Professionals at both University level and for pharmaceutical companies. I also have advanced training and wide experience in the use of robotics to enhance people’s mobility and independence. As a neurological physiotherapist, I have trained to deliver high quality medicolegal reports with the MLACP and aided recovery of complex case managed patients with excellent results. Bringing forward experience from all aspects of my life I truly appreciate and empathise with people suffering from a neurological condition. I pride myself on bringing passion, enthusiasm and fun to my sessions. Striving to ensure the highest quality of service, constantly using up to date research and evidence-based practice to achieve optimum rehab potential.
