A broad track record and experience of delivering transformational change in large companies, as well as in smaller companies and entrepreneur founder settings, and also supporting management teams in the not for profit sector. Chairman and a co-founder of Envirtual where an early venture investment in e.fundamentals - a digital shelf analytics platform - led to its acquisition by Palo Alto based CommerceIQ backed by Softbank. Chairman and investor in a group of small private companies, focused on the commercial & military marine sector, where the individual management teams delivered a successful restructuring. The companies were subsequently sold - partly to a UK based private equity backed player involved in a consolidation and roll-up play, and partly to a German based privately owned company in a trade sale leading to it becoming #1 market leader in its field. At EMI Group PLC led the global investments in the digital way of doing business for EMI Music, for the first time in its history, covering all its worldwide way of working with artists, fans, retailers, media and promotion partners alike. Helped launch 'first' artist centric information self service tool to support emerging digital sales world. At Accenture founded the 'first' Media & Entertainment business unit in the UK, and then subsequently was Co-Head across Europe, Africa & Latin America, focused on helping established Creative Sector players and new start-ups move into the digital world. Also started in 1995 the on-going 30+ year philanthropic relationship with The BRIT School and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity.
