• On top of responsibilities of Senior Category Manager I am now fully responsible for Hanson UK P2P process to ensure proper ordering method will be used within Hanson UK. • Application of SAP ERP (MRP run/ SAP PM/ SAP FO order/ SAP SA orders/ ...) and SAP Ariba knowledge as two fundamental systems for P2P with support of process-mining tool Celonis. • Having one person in my team.
• Responsibility for direct services with focus on long term strategy, centralization and utilization of Ariba service orders to provide fully transparent and efficient P2P process. • Aligning strategy between Cement/ Aggregate/ Ready-mix and Asphalt business of Hanson UK. • Focus on categories -> Explosives/ Contract crushing/ Top Soil/ Load & Haul/ Mechanical & Electrical maintenance/ Plant hire in total value of 50mio+ GBP. • Leveraging past knowledge of systems to control spend, using SAP ERP MM/ Celonis/ BO analysis reports.
• Design of the global template and stream lead for implementation of SAP Ariba Buying & Commerce Automation as a replacement of WPS4. • Project lead for the eProcurement (WPS4) implementation to new SAP ERP systems (NAM, Australia, Asia). • Group-wide responsibility for the utilization and maintenance of the eProcurement system user support. • Support of the Group Lead Buyer explosives in creating a global category strategy and supplier negotiations.
• World-wide responsibility for the implementation, utilization, and maintenance of the eProcurement system (WPS4). • Leadership in strategic planning and marketing global rollout of the eProcurement system (successful implementation in 15 countries -> Europe, Asia, USA, Australia) • Promotion of eProcurement as a strategic purchasing process to drive automatization and transparency. • Focus on change management to facilitate the eProcurement transition and process adaption. (Required knowledge of the P2P processes and SAP MM module). • Supporting Group lead buyer to implement group procurement strategy within explosives category.
• Leading central purchasing department of 3 people, managing the spend of 30mio USD. Working with demands from 2 cement plants, 30 aggregate plants, and 60 ready-mix plants. • Responsibility of commodities: Diesel oil, Crushers & Screeners, Engines, Gearboxes, MRO, Safety Equipment, IT, Office Equipment. • Sourcing / Negotiation / Contracting and developing long-term relationships with suppliers. • Organizing and leading the tendering processes within MPT for OpEx / CapEx projects. • Full responsibility for local marketing and implementation of the eProcurement system. In 2½ years increased automation grade from 5 % to 60 % for all PO items within the department responsibility (MRO and indirect material mostly).
• Participation in the trainee program with the goal to explore and understand processes and procedures in HeidelbergCement. In parallel, supporting strategic purchaser in negotiations, analysis and reporting (Coal, petcoke, RDF, paper bags).
