I developed a long-term vision on the future of railways in The Netherlands, together with other parties in the Dutch railway sector, such as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, ProRail, NS, NLingenieurs, contractors and suppliers.
Ik hou mij als senior adviseur onder andere bezig met langetermijnvisies (o.a. Toekomstbeeld OV 2040), verkenningen, ERTMS, spoorwegcapaciteit en spoorwegveiligheid. Daarnaast adviseer ik (inter-) nationale opdrachtgevers over strategische railvraagstukken, zowel op technisch als op bestuurlijk vlak.
Leiding geven aan 25 hoogopgeleide adviseurs, met aandacht voor verwerven opdrachten, personele ontwikkeling en financiën.
After a call for proposals has been issued and the proposals have been submitted, the EC evaluates all proposals with the aid of external experts. I have been working as an external expert during several years. Each evaluation takes about 3-4 weeks and usually takes place once a year.
I evaluate proposals submitted by public/private consortia in response to calls for proposals issued by DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission. I also review on-going projects for DG Research.
