Mechanical ventilation is a life-saving therapy, however, it comes with severe risks for the patient. Therefore we investigate innovative mechanical ventilation strategies, using e.g. artificial intelligence. We investigate our new concepts of mechanical ventilation within experimental studies as well as large multicenter clinical trials in anesthesiology and critical care medicine.
