BIG (Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft) and its subsidiary ARE (Austrian Real Estate) are state-owned asset and investment management firms overseeing a portfolio of approximately 2,000 properties across Austria and Germany. The portfolio focuses on infrastructure (schools, universities) as well as office and residential real estate. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Leading four specialized teams—Valuation, Portfolio Management, Transaction Management, and Architecture—comprising around 30 professionals. Strategic Portfolio & Investment Management: Developing and executing the overall portfolio strategy, integrating ESG principles into the investment decision-making process. Investment & Transaction Execution: Managing investment and acquisition activities with an annual volume of approximately €500 million, covering acquisitions, disposals, and developments.
- Ensuring the smooth daily execution of the CEO’ schedule (e.g. preparation of presentations, briefings and so on). - Link between the CEO Office and the management.
- Real Estate and investment valuations and return projections. - Review of Real Estate Appraisals and overseeing the valuation process for the Investment Properties under construction. - Monitoring, further development and optimization of in-house valuation process. - Financial modelling and analysis. - Conducting strategic asset reviews. - Market research and data mining.
