In his role as EVP, Strategic Growth, Jake co-leads the national Data Center Team as well as overseeing the national Service, Parts, and HVAC RNTL businesses. By focusing on markets where demand is accelerating fastest, Jake helps drive continued rapid growth for Meriton and our portfolio.
In his role as Vice President, Jake works with the Meriton Executive Leadership Team on strategic growth opportunities throughout the portfolio.
As the Senior Vice President of Sales, Jake leads a national sales team focused on expanding the TEAL footprint across all vertical and geographic markets.
TEAL is a unique business solution that provides owners, developers, and property managers with innovative, vertically-integrated managed central plant solutions. TEAL’s unique concept of “central plants as-a-service” incorporates best-in-class mechanical equipment with 24/7/365 remote "Virtual Supervision" and machine learning-enabled energy management. In his role, Jake oversees all aspects of the company's sales and marketing efforts. Over the last three years, the company has achieved a number of milestones: • Sales have grown 348% over the last 3 years • TEAL expanded to new geographic markets including California, New Mexico and Nevada • The sales & marketing team grew from 2 people to 16, adding industry veterans across the U.S. • TEAL launched their iPlant chilled water offering in 2020 • TEAL entered new vertical markets incl education, healthcare, commercial office & senior living • TEAL was named a “Best Place to Work” by the Houston Business Journal for the first time in 2022 • TEAL was a Finalist in the Innovation Fire Awards presented by the Houston Business Journal in 2022
Working with private equity firms and individual investors/ operators to implement strategic growth plans and build operational excellence within their portfolio companies. I have also served as an Industry Advisor to private equity firms investing in the commercial HVAC and construction services industry. In this role, I have provided strategic market analysis and due diligence services for potential acquisitions.
I took an 18 month unpaid sabbatical to go on an adventure with my family.
