During my Postgraduate study at Curtin University I completed a practical placement with the City of Perth environmental health team. This practicum exposed me to all areas of environmental health relating to city environments. I had particular exposure to food premises, events, public buildings, noise management, waste management, pest control, aquatic facilities, recreational water management, complaint handling, education, specialised programs, enforcement and prosecution. I also participated in sampling and investigations of various issues relating to the City of Perth during this time.
