• Delivering the work of the National Schools Singing Programme (NSSP) throughout the Diocese of Westminster across nine Catholic primary schools • Establishing school choirs and providing opportunities for them to contribute to the liturgy both in and out of school, including Sunday Masses in parishes as well as Saturday evening Masses and carol services at Westminster Cathedral • Leading singing sessions in assembly settings within the school timetable, teaching children a wide variety of hymns to support the liturgy • Communicating effectively with staff and parents to organise events for schools to participate in within schools and parishes • Providing CPD to teachers on a local level to up-skill and build confidence in leading singing in the classroom outside of sessions led through the programme.
• Almost a decade of experience of privately teaching piano, singing, and music theory to children and adults of all ages and abilities (including those with special needs) • Ability to teach a range of repertoire, from classical to musical theatre to pop • Experience with teaching children with special needs, making my lessons specifically tailored to them and ensuring they can make the most from their lessons with me • Preparing students to sit Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Practical and performance exams with Grade 8 piano and singing, with students achieving strong passes and high merits • Preparing students to sit Grade 5 ABRSM theory exam, giving them a strong foundation of musical literacy alongside their practical skills.
• Playing the organ (Allen Protégé model) and leading the singing at 11:30am Masses every Sunday as well as additional services during Christmas and Holy Week/Easter - singing of congregational hymns as well as other Mass parts (i.e. Gloria, Responsorial psalms, Gospel acclamations) • Formerly led a children's choir, rehearsing each week and preparing them to sing congregational hymns • Regularly play the organ and sing for funerals and weddings • During the Covid-19 pandemic, I assisted in providing music for live-streamed Masses.
