Mr. de la Barra is a Founding Partner at Compass Group in Chile. He was Compass' Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Strategist until 2025 when Vinci and Compass merged to form Vinci Compass, a leading Investment Platform in Latin America. Prior to founding Compass, Mr. de la Barra created and was the Head of Investment Research for Grupo Santander in Chile and previously he was Vice President, Investment Banking at Citicorp Chile. Mr. de la Barra has been a Member of the Capital Markets Advisory Council of the Chilean Ministry of Finance since 2006. He is also a Board Member of Icare and Chairman of its Finance and Business Circle. Additionally, he is Member of the Advisory Board of Endeavor-Chile. Mr. de la Barra was a lecturer in Capital Markets and Financial Institutions at Universidad de Los Andes and is currently a member of the Executive Board for Latin America of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Founding Partner and Chairman of InBest, and one of the Founders and former Chairman of the Chilean Investment Fund Managers Association. Mr. de la Barra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
