I am an experienced software engineer and C-level professional with more than 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. I am part of the executive management team, fulfilling the Group CTIO Role and driving group Technology and Security Standards. Leading internal platform development teams, building industry and internationally recognised platforms with a key focus on using Globetom platforms as the building block for all customer and market solutions. Building platforms that operate in mission-critical environments with a focus on low-latency transactions. Still intense technical involvement on the platforms and all part of the delivery team with a deep understanding of all Globetom's platforms. I love solving problems daily. I have a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) (Hons.) focused in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a vast technical skillset built over time.
Appointed as Group CTIO to oversee CTIO Functions cross Globetom Group of Companies. • Develop goals and strategies to ensure the Globetom Engineering Production and Information Systems runs smoothly and effectively. • Annual IT strategy & budget preparation and board presentation • Show IT strategy alignment with company strategy. • Show preservation and optimal use of existing assets • Align IT strategy with company/group Risk Management Plan • Have clearly defined upgrade schedules and manage the execution of upgrades to customers production systems. • Direct and establish systems and engineering process support for projects • Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop. • Supervise the networks and computer systems in the company to ensure optimal performance. • Plan and direct the implementation of new engineering, support and management information systems • Provide platform leverage leadership to other engineering specialists within the company to ensure maximization of platform IP and different Globetom IP • Create and adapt technological platforms to improve the customer experience • Troubleshoot data-related issues w.r.t. I was appointed as part of the company operational board of directors and executive management team, focusing on structural capital and taking on the role of IT Manager and IT Management and development regarding aspects such as infrastructure, networking, and security.
