I started my career in the industry as an apprentice in 2007. Worked for a company that did general electrical maintenance and installations ranging from irrigation, refrigeration, commercial as well as industrial electrical installations. I qualified in 2010 and stayed with the company until i started working at Eskom holdings. I started my career in Eskom working in the Customer network center concentrating on MV and HV line maintenance, operating as well as all general maintenance work associated with electrical reticulation. From 2013 i moved into the substation environment where I perform transformer, auxiliary and switchgear maintenance specializing in switchgear. I also do condition monitoring as a professional thermographer CAT 3. In 2022 i obtained my remote pilot license (BVLOS) where i now utilize UAS (Drones) in a range of applications and i am also a certified remote maintenance technician. I am currently studying towards a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
