I’m a University of Waterloo grad (Global Business & Digital Arts) with a background that blends creativity, strategy, and technical execution - spanning UX/UI design, brand development, digital communications, and product ownership. At Cboe Canada, I serve as Senior Marketing & Design Specialist, where I own the end-to-end creation of branded assets, manage social media and digital campaigns, oversee event logistics from webinars to bell-ringing ceremonies, and help maintain the Cboe Canada website. I work across print, digital, and social to bring the brand to life in ways that are visually sharp and commercially grounded. I’m also an active member of our Social and Diversity & Inclusion Committees. Outside of work, I’m a former varsity hockey goalie for the Waterloo Warriors, a wildlife photographer, and a music producer. I studied abroad in England, traveled across seven countries, and haven’t really stopped exploring since.

The UX/UI Specialist will use human-centric design, utilizing knowledge of visual design principles, accessibility standards, collaborative problem-solving, and visual storytelling to translate user needs into product requirements, increase user adoption and retention. Responsibilities include: - Developing new design ideas with user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to optimize our existing product and/or incorporate new features and improvements - Defining the course of our customers’ journey from the first touch point and account creation to the daily use of the platform and app - Creating thorough designs through collaborative decision-making with our full stack developers and content strategists to ensure successful implementation of design - Developing design standards, iterate and improve on our design system - Competitive product research and the application a thoughtful, user-centered approach to product development - Researching new user experience and user interface concepts to increase user engagement and retention - Creative thinking to address unique, ambiguous situations, finding solutions to problems that are complex or non-routine. - Cross-departmental adherence to timelines and deadlines and ensuring product deliverables are met - Participating in scrum meetings such as daily stand up, product reviews, sprint planning and estimating, backlog grooming, retrospectives - Conducting design reviews and internal product testing, ensuring developed adhere to the high-fidelity design guidelines and a quality end product is achieved - Creating and maintaining project documentation - Use of strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills - Look for ways to increase user conversions, improve the user-experience and reduce turn over - Learning and developing as part of a growth company committed to making an impact
