After an international career as an artist-craftsman Jacob returned to university where he achieved excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal for graduating at the top of his class and subsequently completed a SSHRC funded Master’s degree within a year. In 2022, Jacob was awarded a Lord Beaverbrook Scholarship in Law to attend the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. In 2025 he graduated with distinction with a Juris Doctor. Jacob believes that law is the place where rhetoric, writing, research, and philosophy meet the event horizon of an emerging society. His experience as a writer, storyteller, and student of philosophy, combined with the hard work and perseverance of a craftsman, give Jacob an unusual set of skills. Jacob strives to work as an integral member of a team on the front line of the legal profession.
