Engineering team manager with solid experience in open source software technology.
As Head of Group Hosting Platform I head several engineering teams that build the DNS and Web hosting infrastructure as well as provisioning and automation infrastructure that allows us to host and manage services for several brands under group.one, where one.com is the largest brand.
As Team Manager in the Systems Engineering department at one of the largest web hosting companies in our part of the world, I manage a team that build and maintain some of the central software infrastructure required to host almost 3 million internet domains. We are on a growth mission, both through organic and in-organic growth. My team has a central role to play in solving the many technical challenges during this exciting journey.
I participated in designing and implementing big data solutions and advanced analytics for some of the largest companies in our part of the world. Technologies: Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Python, Jenkins, AWS, R, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Kylo, Airflow, Docker, Gradle
At One.com I built some of the core software infrastructure and tried to make sure that it all fit nicely together so the 1.4 million customers have a great experience using the services provided by One.com. This involved building scalable systems with focus on stability. It also involved bridging the gap between two development departments and making sure that the demands from both departments met in a sensible way. Since late 2016 I was the team coordinator of the Core team in the Systems department. I worked with technologies such as Debian GNU/Linux, PostgreSQL, Java, Wildfly, Chef, Git, Gitlab, Ruby, Go and RabbitMQ.
I worked on a database system used by much of R&D to register and capture important research data. I was involved in both analysis and development tasks and worked together with users from many parts of the organization.
I worked on the development of a knowledge management system to help improve how information is used in R&D.
