I am an enthusiastic technology leader, and father of two equally energetic boys. Motivation is essential and knowledge is key. Combining both with clear business perspectives is what leads to better solutions and stronger results. I am a senior technology leader with end-to-end experience across five technology domains: infrastructure and security architecture, cloud strategy, platform engineering and DevOps, technology innovation and AI, and enterprise technology leadership. In practice this spans what would typically be several separate director-level functions, with a €20M+ technology portfolio and global teams across Denmark, Poland, and Malaysia. The outcomes I am most proud of: - Enterprise architecture strategies and technology roadmaps across IT and OT that create the foundation for cloud transformation, platform engineering, and a compliant, scalable technology landscape. - The industry's first EU-compliant public cloud tender (€100M), establishing the hyperscaler partnerships with AWS and Microsoft that continue to underpin Ørsted's global operations. - Engineering platforms and communities supporting 800+ engineers, delivering 100,000+ productivity hours through reusable components and AI adoption. - Ørsted's Enterprise Data Lake and AI capabilities, built from the ground up, including the internal GenAI assistant Energenie. I believe the organisations that win are not those with the most ambitious roadmaps, but those that translate strategy into scalable capability faster and more consistently than anyone else. Most transformations struggle not because of lack of ambition, but because structure gets changed before strategy is clear, and investment gets spread evenly rather than concentrated on what genuinely differentiates the business. That is the kind of transformation I find most meaningful, and what I want to bring to a new organisation. Delivered the industry's first EU-compliant public cloud tender (€100M) and established long-term hyperscaler partnerships with AWS and Microsoft, underpinning Ørsted's global cloud operations today. Built enterprise architecture frameworks and technology roadmaps across IT and OT, creating the strategic and technical foundation for cloud transformation, platform engineering, and cyber resilience. Led the evolution from DevOps to platform engineering, introducing the Ørsted Developer Platform, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, and inner sourcing of reusable components, enabling 800+ engineers and delivering an increase of 100,000+ productivity hours. Drove the technology innovation agenda and five-year emerging tech outlook, including the rollout of the internal GenAI assistant Energenie and the scaling of enterprise MLOps capabilities. Led IT/OT architecture modernisation and cyber uplift across a globally operating listed energy company.
I led the strategic, tactical, and operational development of Ørsted’s data and AI capabilities, driving digital transformation and measurable business outcomes across the enterprise, focused on data availability enabling teams in energy trading, predictive maintenance in operations, and wake energy yield analysis in engineering. I co-created and led the strategic development of Ørsted’s enterprise data and advanced analytics capabilities, expanding the organization from 20 to 40+ specialists across DK, PL and MY. This included delivering and evolving Ørsted’s Enterprise Data Lake and Data Ecosystem, enabling data engineering, AI/ML solutions across trading, operations and commercial areas. I established data governance, MLOps practices and business-aligned analytics initiatives that improved forecasting, automation and decision-making. Some of the key outcomes included establishing a unified data foundation, scaling advanced analytics adoption across the organization, and positioning Ørsted as a data-driven enterprise capable of leveraging AI for sustainable energy leadership. It has given me a deep insight in to data and how to create and manage diverse teams across geographical locations. Experiences that I utilize in my current role, and continue to push to improve.
I was part of the Scott/Tiger leadership team where I held three roles: leading the technology consultant department, running the DBA service centre, and working as project manager and management consultant across public and private sector clients. The role gave me deep insight into the commercial side of running a technology company, covering bids, contracts, service development, and client management, alongside hands-on experience with software and database technology. Key client work included leading Advanced Analytics, Data Backbone, and Cloud initiatives under Ørsted's Digital Strategy; managing the design and implementation of Ørsted's Enterprise Data Lake; and delivering digital platform and application projects for the Agency for Modernisation, KMD, ØSS Samarbejdet, and the Danish Road Directorate.
