Three time participant in the Research Mentorship Program coordinated by the UCSB Summer Sessions department with funding received from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). -During the six week program a high school student is given the opportunity to work with a graduate student mentor in a project designed and supervised by the mentor in an area related to the graduate students research. Mentored students are guided in a project with which they construct a poster for presentation along with classes in scientific writing related to their research project.
