Able to acquire a number of valuable experiences and insights as a squad leader in the Marine Corps such as caring for my fellow and junior Marines, counseling, active listening, problem solving, and critical thinking. Looking for the opportunity to apply my skills, knowledge, and attributes to help others and have a positive impact on their lives. My short term goals include earning my BSN from Hawaii Pacific University while working to gain valuable work experience. My long term goal is to use that degree to become a registered nurse in the emergency room.
- As a home health aide, it is my responsibility to provide for the safety, nutrition, hygiene, elimination, skin integrity, mobility and comfort of assigned clients with many different medical conditions. This includes but is not limited to: * Transfer assists * G-Tube Feedings * Bathing, toileting, changing, and dressing clients * Providing companionship * Administering pre-poured medication * Documenting symptoms and behaviors * Monitoring client’s vital signs * Cleaning wounds - CPR and AED certified for adults, children, and infants - Combat Lifesaver certified
