Greater Seattle Area
Community-focused, care-centered, social justice-oriented student and organizer. I am a fourth-year political science and public administration double major with a minor in Ethics. At Seattle University, I am an alumni of the university's Society, Policy and Citizenship Honors track focused on public policy-oriented careers. I am also a proud recipient of the Sullivan Scholarship, a full-ride academic scholarship granted to those who live out the Jesuit values of fighting for a more just and humane world. Through my work with the United Filipino Club of Seattle University, I have brought Filipino political identity at the forefront of the general campus community through educational programming and organizing. Working with youth through my various mentorships and teaching positions, I have strengthened my educational skills. Additionally, throughout my various internships in the nonprofit and federal government sphere, I have gained valuable policy analysis, public speaking, event planning, community engagement, and professional writing skills. I am passionate about bridging the gap between Filipino values of community with action through a compassionate public policy approach, grassroots activism, and literary expression. My interests lie in sustainable urban planning and building environmentally just communities.
