-Design and validate next-generation infotainment systems from initial schematic through end-of-life support. -Manage 5 high-speed Automotive Ethernet, 16 CAN and 4 audio subcircuits across two projects. -Conduct high and low speed signal integrity simulations in Ansys EM and refine layouts using Mentor Graphics for 12 layer boards. -Perform extensive validation and compliance testing to meet industry and internal standards. -Debug and root-cause 3 previous and current module failures. -Oversee board bring-up on site with PCB assembly supplier. -Utilize advanced test equipment daily, including Oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, Logic Analysers, etc. -Manage and train new hires and interns on design best-practices, proper use of test equipment, and validation techniques. -Perform WCCA and other circuit analyses.
Undergraduate Research Assistant - Dr. Fred R. Beyette - Athens, GA Embedded Systems Engineer | January 2022 - Present -Working to develop an embedded EEG management system. -Device manages timing and frequency of audible waveforms used to track the subject's fatigue levels. Undergraduate Research Assistant - Dr. Mark Trudgen - Athens, GA Embedded Systems Engineer | May 2022 - August 2022 -Developed firmware for ESP32, as well as several software packages in Matlab/Simulink to transition Dr. Trudgen's Remote Labs to an IOT-based solution independent of UGA's networking services. -Vastly improved user experience and reliability, allowing real-time data acquisition.
COSMO Communications Team | November 2021 - January 2022 -Designed a bluetooth low energy based remote sensor system for SSRL’s Ground Station. -Worked on safety shutoff system for satellite ground station amplifiers and positional equipment. Hardware & Electronics Team | January 2022 - Present -Electronics Engineer & PCB Designer for five projects using Altium and Eagle. -Developed a LORA-based transceiver to monitor Environmental/Positional data for SSRL's Ground Station. -Developed Electrical Ground Station Equipment for UNP's "MOCI" Satellite, which allows for charging and interfacing with the satellite prior to launch. -Redeveloped a critical flight board for UNP's "MOCI" Satellite, fixing several issues caused by poor high-speed routing practice in earlier versions.
-Developed UGA's first Electric Vehicle Powertrain Using a 32kW Motoenergy ME1507 PMSM Electric Motor. -Designed a 72V Battery using 18650 cells to be produced in-house in the Fall of 2022. -Designed a distributed Battery Management System for multiple series and parallel battery packs. -Powertrain placed second in UGA's Engineering Capstone Showcase.
