Jaco have strategic experience in business & product development, sales as well as results management pertaining to the financial and telecommunication fields. Jaco is well versed in the provision of strategy direction and policy guidance in relation to group and company strategies with emphasis on business and product development, the development, strategic alignment and the management of growth targets, business plans and product development and the building of strategic relationships to enhance growth opportunities and obtaining results. Jaco is well known for his innovative and creative thinking and the ability to create an environment where innovative ideas can be developed into profitable product or business streams. Jaco obtained his B. Ing (Electron) degree at the University of Pretoria in 1993. He have also been exposed to a Graduate Development Program with the ISO Swedish Management Group and has obtained a Leadership Development Program Diploma at GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science). Further training in the creativity field has been provided by Kobus Neethling of the Creativity Foundation of South Africa, where Jaco has received a certificate in Voyage to Wisdom. Jaco has been a member of Toastmasters International (Tarentaal Klub) where he obtained the level of Competent Communicator. Jaco’s has been involved with Telecom Namibia and iway from 1994 on management level where he was responsible for Business Development, Business Process Reengineering, Product Research & Development as well as Marketing & Distribution. In 2003 Jaco moved to Bank Windhoek where he have worked in the fields of National Sales and Product Channel Insurance & Sales on management level. In 2012 Jaco became the Strategic Integration Manager where his responsibility was to achieve results within the CIC Group project portfolio areas. In 2014 Jaco became the Chief Operating Officer of Truro Bank Namibia and was tasked with the implementation of the Bank.

The Key Responsibilities of the COO: Business Development at Trustco Bank Namibia are: - Develop and implement business concepts - Implement, maintain and improve current systems and procedures; - Management of the day to day operations to align to the business strategy and priorities; - Monitoring action plans, service management, people development and improving operational risk; - Ensure that the respective operational teams are optimized in terms of people, process, platform, product and place. This include service, risk, efficiency, cost, control, capability and capacity planning; - Ensuring compliance with all Group and Country policies; - Ensure Statutory and Regulatory Compliance; - Management of risk, including identification, communication and remediation of risks to the relevant forums.
