Responsible for medical waste incineration facility operating according to legislation set out in the NEM Waste Act No. 59 of 2008 Auditing of the Waste Management Licence conditions that was set out by the department of environmental affairs Managing productivity and stock control of facility Managing safety, health and environmental aspects of the facility Annual budget planning and reviewing of the budget during the course of the year Planned and executed routine maintenance shutdowns at the facility
Internal training and induction training to all employees, contractors and visitors entering the facility. Hazard identification and Risk assessment at the facility. Updating and implementing health and safety procedures regularly. Held and updated safety files for contractors working at the facility. Issuing permits to work for: Working at heights; Entry and working in confined spaces; Working with hazardous materials; Hot work and open flames; Lock out procedures; etc. Set up a SHEQ committee and held monthly meetings Audited the emergency evacuation plan and arranged for drills twice a year (once a year with the fire department)
Manage 3 to 4 building sites across South Africa. Labor related queries. Building according to engineers drawings. Planning each site and controlling according to the budget. Health and Safety.
Building concrete slabs and raft foundations according to engineers drawings. Managing laborers and stock to get maximum production.
