Technical manager role covering quality, consistency and brand integrity. Managing a wide supplier network and a portfolio of produce products spanning multiple countries, the main focus is to establish due diligence, drive environmental improvements and maintain product quality. My responsibilities include: Supplier management Product quality and consistency monitoring Customer complaints assessment, trending and targeted reduction Ethical and Corporate responsibility for responsible sourcing Factory auditing for establishment and maintenance of good manufacturing standards in line with BRC and Sainsbury's policies Customer assessment of products versus benchmarks and analysis of customer response Driving supplier engagement for improvement of top selling lines to deliver lower costs through efficiency modelling Value chain analysis work to determine where value is added and where it can be improved FIR guidelines and customer information consistency foundations Artwork and legal guidelines for packaging Experienced microbiological risk assessment (especially Sainsbury's own HARA system)
Assistant to the technical manager at a chilled food manufacturing site Responsibilities included: Factory trials for NPD and process Data collation for accreditation from governing bodies (e.g. Soil association for Organics) Taste panel consistency monitoring Incident management of public withdrawal from safety issues Factory batch calculations and recipe collations
