Strategic Development & Project Execution Lead a strategic commodity review with a cross functional team that took 18 months to complete that gained board approval to start a new chain of stores “Green Field “ operation named PartSource . Lead the development and opening of this new chain of franchised stores. I also had an assignment in M&A responsible for the acquisition and conversion of a chain of stores in Western Canada under the new store format. I was responsible for store selection, Franchisee selection and development along with new store operations for PartSource.
Marketing & Advertising I was responsible for the Automotive Parts Buyers and the Auto Service marketing area. The scope of responsibility was 300 million in sales and national advertising plans including all Medias Radio, TV, magazines and newsprint. Distribution & Logistics I was responsible for a distribution network of 21 automotive warehouses across Canada with just under 600 employees. I grew the division from 5 warehouses to the 21 growing from 18 million to just under 200 million.
