I'm an award-winning marketing and communications professional with a track record of leading impactful, high-profile campaigns, from increasing female participation in sport to positioning battery energy storage at the heart of the UK’s renewable energy future. My work has also helped drive record-breaking applications to leading higher education programmes. With deep expertise in marketing, PR and communications, I’ve worked with global media outlets including Sky News and the BBC at national, regional, and local levels. I’ve partnered with high-profile organisations such as Tesla, UK Sport and the English FA, and collaborated with government bodies on public affairs initiatives. At Harmony Energy, I became the company’s first in-house marketing, communications and PR professional. I introduced a new website that doubled annual users, developed and implemented internal policies, and led the creation of high-performing content across social media — driving engagement, growing our audience, and strengthening our brand. I’ve also built trusted relationships with stakeholders, including investors, and supported international teams with marketing insight, press materials and design assets. My role spans strategy and delivery, from managing international media relations and producing consistent, high-impact press releases, to developing compelling video content and simplified animations. I also have delivered multiple award wins for my company, create and deliver high-quality InDesign materials for public consultations, stakeholder events and internal resources, ensuring every touchpoint reflects clarity and professionalism, and support events from logistics to design. Beyond work, I volunteer as a Content Creator with Winston’s Wish, a childhood bereavement charity. I’m also a committed runner, raising thousands of pounds for charity in memory of my dad, who died when I was 14. I’ve won races including the Leeds Half Marathon, and I am an England Masters athlete with my marathon PB at 2 hours 29 minutes.
I create bespoke and original campaigns to promote Leeds Beckett University and its schools to potential applicants, current students, alumni and partners. I have worked with different schools including, Art, Law, Business and Engineering and Computing as well as working with a wide range of key stakeholders including the Vice Chancellor to independent cafes in the city. Campaigns have included introducing Instagram Stories to Leeds Beckett marketing, School of Arts visibility campaign, mental health direct email campaign during the pandemic, raising funds for medical workers to increase cancer research, a Leeds Law School visibility campaign, and Mental Health Awareness Week campaign, amongst many other successful projects. I also have managed the Digital team workload, Marketing Assistants and Interns to help develop their skills and increase the quality of work at the University. I often work with 3rd party agencies including digital and video. I recently worked with The Prince’s Trust on a nationally broadcast campaign to showcase the amazing achievement of a Law student who overcame depression.
I coordinated, planned and delivered digital projects for the Digital Marketing team. I managed the migration of the full website from the web development software Reddot to Sitecore. I worked with key stakeholders ensuring clients were up to date with deadlines. I maintained the Digital Helpdesk via JIRA, and being the main source of communication between the Digital Marketing team and internal/external clients. I completed/supported a range of digital tasks including webpage creations/updates, social media, in-depth digital analysis, SEO and image editing via Photoshop. I analysed internal processes such as JIRA, the intranet and budgets.
