About

I am the Associate Director of Collections and Curatorial Affairs with the Art Museum and Galleries at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia (since March 2026), I am responsible for a team establishing collecting priorities and processes, engaging new ways of sharing the museum’s rich collection, maximizing its potential and reach, and stewarding over 15,000 objects spanning periods, geographies, and media, including American and European painting and works on paper, Asian art, and historic and contemporary ceramics. I served as the Jeffrey Horrell '75 and Rodney Rose Director and Chief Curator at the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio (2021-2025), with experience within a range of areas including museum administration, curating collections and exhibitions, coordination of public and academic programs, fundraising and grant administration, staff and project management. I served as Associate Director of the American Center of Research, Amman, Jordan (2017-2021) where I provided support for research initiatives and publication, as well as management of staff and grant funded archival and cultural heritage initiatives in Jordan and contributing to the Temple of the Winged Lions Publication Project with ACOR, Jordan. I served as Deputy Director of Collections, Research, and Exhibitions at the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY (2016-17), and was previously Chief Curator of the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures Museum, University of Chicago (2011-2015), and Research Associate of the Oriental Institute until 2016. I was curator of Ancient Near East at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford (2007-2011). As a museum professional and archaeologist, I am experienced within a range of areas including curating exhibits and permanent collections, coordination of public and academic programs, training programs, museum loans, grant administration, staff and project management, archaeological fieldwork, and cultural heritage projects. I have academic, lecturing/ teaching, and publications interests in archaeology, history, and art history. I am also an experienced editor and peer reviewer for journals, academic books, and museum catalogs. My research focus is the Tell es-Sa'idiyeh Cemetery Publication Project at the British Museum (Middle East Department), which follows my Ph.D thesis (UCL, 2006) on the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age phases of the Tell es-Sa'idiyeh Cemetery, Jordan.     Responsible for administering and helping grow ACOR’s key cultural heritage initiatives, such as the Temple of the Winged Lions Cultural Resource Management (TWLCRM) Initiative in Petra (facebook.com/twlcrm), USAID SCHEP as steering committee member (see usaidschep.org) and the ACOR Conservation Cooperative. I also oversee the Temple of the Winged Lions Publication Project. I work closely with project/field staff and local authorities and stakeholders to ensure the successful and proper completion of project objectives. The Department of Antiquities of Jordan is one of the main stakeholders. Serves as the primary support for the ACOR Director and helps manage the center’s daily operations including guidance for resident researchers and fellows, represents ACOR in different public, private, and academic venues, and articulates ACOR’s cultural heritage mission for the future.

Green, I am a visiting scholar affiliated with Cornell University, Department of Anthropology (since Spring 2016), currently pursuing research and publication efforts in my chosen field. I am also affiliated with the British Museum Department of Middle East through the Tell es-Sa'idiyeh Cemetery publication project, a project supported by the White-Levy Program for Archaeological Publication. I am an experienced museum professional and archaeologist, experienced within a range of areas including from curating exhibits and permanent collections, coordination of public and academic programs, museum loans, grant administration, staff and project management, archaeological fieldwork, and cultural heritage projects. My academic, lecturing, and publication interests are in the archaeology, history, and art history of the ancient Middle East and East Mediterranean, museum studies, cultural heritage studies, provenance research, histories of archaeology and museums, the archaeology of death, and gender and personal ornamentation, and ancient ceramics. I am also an experienced editor and peer reviewer for academic books and journals.
