Editing: Worked with a small team of Editors from issue 2 through to 18 to ensure the consistent tone of voice for The Rodeo; an independent magazine that prides itself on a deft knowledge of country music and an ear for great up-and-coming artists. Writing: I contributed to each issues, too, interviewing popular Americana musicians such as Black Pumas and Red Clay Strays and delivering several creative writing pieces on topics like movie soundtracks and concert food. Coaching: The magazine was accommodating to writers who were early in their career and a particularly enjoyable part of this freelance position was being able to coach young writers on their writing and working collaboratively to craft their writing for print publication. CMS Management: I delivered articles for digital publication, utilising a WordPress CMS site to build articles in line with branding guidelines.
